Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 7 Post-Credits Scenes That Wouldn’t Actually Suck

4. Introduce A New Sith Lord

Let's be clear: Kylo Ren is not a Sith Lord, at least according to J.J. Abrams and company. He is a member of the Knights of Ren, though that order has never been clearly explained. Even so, it's unlikely that we have heard the last from the order which originated (at least in expanded universe lore) from exiled Dark Jedi. Future films are bound to return to the well, so to speak, when it comes to creating a new villain, just as the prequel trilogy did with Darth Maul and Darth Tyranus. One of the more effective routes Marvel films have taken over the years in post-credit scenes is setting up a new foe/danger moving forward (The Collector, Thanos, and over at FOX, Apocalypse). Star Wars could easily follow suit, which would give the post-credits clip real weight. If the Force is awakening, then it's likely the Sith are as well, even if they're not the focus of this film. An introduction to Episode VIII's antagonist, or a foe that will be present throughout future films, would be killer.
