Star Wars: The Last Jedi - 7 Spoilers That Have Already Been Revealed

3. Evil BB-8

The Information: Like our last entry, this leak came by way of the movie's tie-in merchandise - but this time, instead of a book, a set of in-theatre figurines was the culprit.

These figurines include a dark grey BB-8-like droid (called BB-9), one that looks exactly like the model that debuted in The Force Awakens save for its new, ominous colour.

Why It's A Spoiler: The fact that Lucasfilm chose not to formally reveal this new design indicates that they'd like to keep its appearance in the film as secretive as possible.

An in-theatre figurine is about as low-key as merchandise gets - this is information that the general public does not need to know.

And while we don't know exactly how the droid will factor into the story, there are two likely options; one, the regular BB-8 we all know and love will become corrupted in some way and turned into a First Order droid, or two, the BB-9 unit will be working against the Resistance from the off.

Not knowing which option is correct doesn't make this a non-spoiler; it just means we now have two different outcomes to look out for as the film progresses.

And in Star Wars, things tend to be black and white - the good guys wield blue and green lightsabers and the bad guys sport red. So a droid that's coloured in black and grey (especially considering that there's an identical droid coloured in white) is likely to be on the bad side of the fight.
