5. What Are These Creatures - And Will They Be Important?
Forget those cute, adorable Porgs for a second - what are these badass crystal foxes called, and how will they factor into the story?
The planet in this shot appears to be Crait, which is home to a Resistance base. This base comes under attack in the film, and given that these creatures are running indoors, away from something, we can assume that this is when the attack begins.
There are a lot of them, too - roughly ten in this trailer alone. They don’t look big enough (or comfortable enough) for humans to ride on, but they do look vicious, so perhaps they’re the Resistance’s form of attack dog.
Or, maybe they’re just home to the planet Crait and are not affiliated with the Resistance, but since they’re running indoors, towards our heroes, it looks like they’re not the biggest fans of The First Order either.
