4. The Star Destroyers' Secret Weapons

As mentioned previously, the old Imperial fleet of Star Destroyers plays a heavy role in Episode IX's final trailer, and if this last shot is anything to go by, then they're sure to play a pivotal role in the film.
As B-Wings, X-Wings, A-Wings and (pictured above) Y-Wings mount a charge against the fleet, a new weapon can be seen. It's unclear what exactly the Star Destroyers have deployed, but they look devastating, and unlike anything Star Wars fans have seen mounted on other Imperial cruisers in the past.
Also interesting is the fact the weapon is the fact these weapons descend out of the area where TIE-Fighters usually dock. Given the shot of the Star Destroyer rising out of the ground earlier, may it be possible that this is a ghost fleet of sorts? One specifically equipped to carry devastating canons rather than a full crew and squadron of fighters?
We can theorise all day at this stage, but given these weapons weren't seen on any old school destroyers, it's an intriguing point to consider.
