Steve Carell: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked

4. Uncle Arthur - Bewitched

stevecarellbewitched Speaking of bad movies with great casts, Nora Ephron's Bewitched is next up. Here, Carell portrays Uncle Arthur, the character originally made famous by Paul Lynde on the television series, but unfortunately, he was just plain unfunny. As a matter of fact, the entire movie was unfunny. What is funny, though, is that the character of Uncle Arthur doesn't really fit in the film at all; he just suddenly appears. The movie's concept was great, and a lot of cool people were involved, but ultimately, it was just a silly romantic comedy and the jokes died catastrophically. The Bewitched remake is mostly forgotten about nowadays, and I'm sure that's to Steve Carell's satisfaction. Or, I suppose, everyone who was involved.
