Steven Spielberg: EVERY Movie Ranked Worst To Best

20. The Adventures Of Tintin (2011)

ET The Extra Terrestrial
Sony Pictures

Much like The BFG, The Adventures of Tintin sit firmly in the fun family category of Spielberg's filmography, and though it's not quite as effective as the director's earlier efforts, it's still a massively exciting movie for younger viewers.

With stunning visuals and strong voice work from Jamie Bell and Andy Serkis, the film's main issue lies its poor characterisation, with Spielberg seeming more interested in the effects and the action than the characters themselves.

The action is great to see, no doubt about that, but a few more compelling characters were definitely needed overall.
