Steven Spielberg: EVERY Movie Ranked Worst To Best

13. The Temple Of Doom (1984)

ET The Extra Terrestrial
Lucasfilm Ltd.

As the list enters the creme-de-la-creme of Spielberg's filmography, it becomes more and more clear just how important a pop culture icon he is.

Though Temple of Doom is far too dark and disturbing to rival the remaining films in the Indiana Jones series, it's leagues more accomplished than Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and manages to keep the magic alive from its predecessor.

Fast-paced, action-packed and endlessly iconic, Temple of Doom is a masterclass of the adventure genre, a sweeping two hours of unadulterated excitement. It might be the more nightmare-inducing of Spielberg's classics, but it's still one of his most enjoyable.
