Steven Spielberg: EVERY Movie Ranked Worst To Best

8. The Last Crusade (1989)

Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade
Lucasfilm Ltd.

The third installment in the Indiana Jones franchise, The Last Crusade is much lighter than Temple of Doom, but manages to maintain the previous films' sense of adventure and wonder.

With a typically strong performance from Harrison Ford and a mysterious plot which sees the famed archaeologist searching for the Holy Grail, the film is elevated to perfection by the addition of the late, great Sir Sean Connery as Jones' intelligent but much less adventurous father.

The Last Crusade has it all - action, high stakes, great characters and, thanks to the chemistry and comedic abilities of Connery and Ford, enough humour to fill a strong comedy.

The series really should have been left here.
