Steven Spielberg: EVERY Movie Ranked Worst To Best

1. Schindler's List (1993)

Spielberg's top ten can be argued up and down, but when it comes the director working at the height of his powers, no film could possibly top his war-time classic, Schindler's List. The black-and-white epic is as beautifully filmed as it is emotionally devastating.

With career-best performances from Liam Neeson and the blood-curdling Ralph Fiennes, Schindler's List has everything that makes Spielberg such a phenomenal filmmaker.

The plot is simple - an industrialist called Schindler (Neeson) works to save Jews from the Nazis. The execution, though, it what makes the film so special.

Alongside the brilliant direction and great cinematography from Janusz Kaminski, the film offers exceptional performances from Neeson, Fiennes and Ben Kingsley, and perfectly balances the horrors of war with the hopeful humanism Spielberg has spent a career pulling off.

It might be long, it might be harsh, but it is nothing short of an American masterpiece, and remains the greatest movie Steven Spielberg has ever made.
