Suicide Squad: 10 Past Jokers Way Worse Than Jared Leto's
9. "Galactic Guardians" Joker
In 1985, ABC aired only eight episodes of the DC based cartoon "The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians". The Joker appeared in only one episode, titled "The Wild Cards". There is so much wrong with the way Joker is played in this episode. For starters, he spends half the episode under the paper thin guise of "Ace of Clubs". Additionally, Joker, who is typically the mastermind behind his dastardly deeds, is merely a sniveling lackey for Darkseid. Nothing about the episode is inherently, well...Jokerish. Any of the Rogue's Gallery could have been the Ace of Clubs and it wouldn't have affected the story in the least. The art and animation are what would be expected of the time. Once the playing card costume is ditched, we are left with a pretty standard-looking Joker. The voice work, provided by Frank Welker, is passable but by no means memorable. Probably best to just forget this Joker one-off ever happened and go read "The Killing Joke" to cleanse the palate.
