Suicide Squad: 9 Cool Deleted Scenes Missing From The Extended Cut

7. Extended Monster T Scene

Suicide Squad Monster T
Warner Bros

There was much speculation surrounding Common’s mystery role in Suicide Squad, with many predicting he’d be playing the secret villain. Nope, he’s just playing a bit part gangster named Monster T, who has no bearing on anything.

He meets with Joker in a club to discuss business, but things take an ugly turn when he comments on Harley. Joker then offers him a night with her, but Mr T (heh) soon realises his error, trying to calm the situation down. Set photos reveal there was more to this, where he pulled a gun on Joker and the psycho clown mock begs for mercy.

It’s no shock this scene lasted longer, since it feels very abrupt in the movie; Joker teases Monster T for a bit, then kills him for no reason. Ayer originally milked the tension, but since the scene is hardly essential it was cut to the basics.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
