The Suicide Squad film wouldn't be the first time the concept has appeared in live action. Right now, in fact, they've been making appearances in the surprise hit DC telly show Arrow. After being mentioned off hand in the previous surprise hit DC telly show Smallville, they've actually gotten their time to shine in the TV adaptation of Green Arrow, making their debut in an eponymous episode from the second season. The teams brought together by Amanda Waller and includes Deadshot, Shrapnel, Bronze Tiger, and Lyla Michaels. Arrow has never shied away from the darker side of the DC Universe, and the Suicide Squad very much appear in the manner they're supposed to. At the end of that debut episode, Sharpnel gets killed off by Amanda Waller herself, as a result of him abandoning the mission. The group since appeared in the second season finale, helping to save Starling City from being bombed to stop Slade Wilson's army, and apparently there were plans to spin the group off into their own series. Even if the team in the movie isnt similar, theyll definitely be trading off the good will the Arrow incarnations brought up.
