Terminator 5: 10 Ways To Make The New Trilogy Work

8. Dwayne Johnson As The Terminator

Dwayne Johnson It's easy to get excited about this one because of how freaking awesome it sounds, but bear in mind that Dwayne Johnson is merely being considered for the role; the ink hasn't dried yet, and it's entirely possible that scheduling conflicts or salary negotiations could put the thing to bed before it's even begun. However, the idea of Johnson playing the Terminator in T5 really has a lot of potential; not only is he a tremendous physical specimen who could make for the most imposing and threatening machine yet, but he's also got considerably more charisma than Arnie had even at his peak, and that would make him a far more efficient, imposing killer. However, this does conflict with Arnie's assertion that he will be playing a Terminator. Frankly, even if Johnson ended up playing a Kyle Reese-type protector character, just seeing him in this world would add a wealth of flavour to it, and Johnson would be able to retain his "Franchise Viagra" title for a few more years.
