The Batman: 10 Characters Matt Damon Could Play For Affleck

6. Man-Bat

Matt Damon Two Face
DC Comics

We may have already seen a brief glimpse of him as a nightmare vision in Batman v Superman, but it's about time Man-Bat (and his human counterpart Dr Kirk Langstrom) was given his chance to shine in a more substantial role. (And of course, since those visions proved to be based in fact, his earlier cameo could be explained as a premonition).

Man-Bat is not only an interesting character in terms of the inversion of Batman he represents, but his human story is also a remarkably compelling one, which has the kind of emotional heft that someone like Damon would be able to get his teeth into. Damon has proved in the past that he has a special ability to build sympathetic characters with more tumultuous deeper waters, and Langstrom is the best of that brand in Batman's rogues' gallery.

And of course we'd get to see Batman in full-on detective mode attempting to uncover the truth behind sightings of a real monster in Gotham while the populus turns against him believing he's behind Man-Bat's crime spree. It writes itself.
