Back in 2008, no one could have ever dreamed of the success the Marvel Cinematic Universe would enjoy over the next decade, and it all started with Iron Man. Kevin Feige and co. took a huge risk with Iron Man, with Robert Downey Jr., and with the whole shared universe idea, but it paid off in the best way possible.

If Jon Favreau's Iron Man hadn't been the success it was all those years ago, there wouldn't be an MCU to talk about now. There were many factors in the movie being as great as it was, and obviously one of the biggest is Tony Stark himself, the perfectly cast Robert Downey Jr.

From the first scene in which he goes through his escapades with numerous models, to the iconic final moment in which he declared himself Iron Man to the world, RDJ was charming, and without doubt won over any doubters.

The famous line that ended the movie was not only shocking and perfectly fitting of Stark's egotistical, narcissistic character, it was completely improvised by the actor. This scene would become legendary and be referenced a whole 11 years later as Stark's final words before snapping his fingers and completing his entire character arc.
