Despite being ancient deities, the Asgardians are no strangers to modern weaponry.

In The Mighty Thor #362, Skurge the Executioner famously made his last stand. Wielding a pair of assault rifles taken from Earth, he fought against Hela's army until they overwhelmed him.

Decades later, history repeated itself in Loki: Agent of Asgard. With the universe about to end (just before Secret Wars), Hela and a future version of Loki led an army to Asgardia to bring about Ragnarok.

With the situation looking grim, Odin's wife Freyja led him into the deepest parts of Asgardia's dungeons to find the one thing that might help turn the tide. Guns. Lots of guns. It turned out the Asgardian's collection of "forbidden weapons from a foreign realm" was actually a giant pile of magic assault rifles.

The Asgardians used these weapons to hold off Hela and Future Loki's army while the Loki of the present looked for a way to undo everything. This led to one of the single greatest panels in comic books: Odin fighting off the armies of the undead with a gigantic minigun. It's the kind of perfect overlap between ridiculous and cool that you can only get in comic books.
