14. David Boreanaz - SEAL Team
You would think that with being a successful actor would come a certain amount of freedom when it comes to choice of roles, shooting schedules, and stories. Why not take a few months or a year off in between projects? Why not branch out and try something completely foreign?
David Boreanaz, however, has worked largely in a similar arena over the past three decades. He rose to prominence after starring as Angel in Buffy the Vampire Slayer for three years, before leading his own spin-off until 2004. Straight after that came Bones which ran until 2017, the same year he began work on SEAL Team.
The latter has run for seven seasons, and now that it has come to an end, quite understandably, Boreanaz has decided to take a break away from network TV series.
The actor hasn't made a screen appearance since SEAL Team's ending in 2024, and is likely in no rush to. However, it will be interesting to see how serious his decision to try something new is with the allure of the returning Buffy the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale on the horizon. Will Angel make an appearance or not?
