18. Tom Rhys Harries - Clayface
Given that Clayface is being produced for a mere $40 million, it's safe to say that it won't be an effects-heavy, set-piece-filled extravaganza, and its success will be more reliant on the quality of its storytelling, characterisation, and the central performance from Tom Rhys Harries.
Harries, best known for his work on Netflix's mystery-thriller series White Lines, sure seems like a snug fit for the lead role of disfigured movie star Matt Hagen, who undergoes an experimental procedure which transforms his body into malleable clay.
From the trailers so far, Harries appears to effortlessly convince as both the impossibly dashing actor and then the broken man seeking revenge while losing grip of his humanity.
Considering the script was co-written by the great Mike Flanagan, it should offer Harries plenty of character meat to sink his teeth into, in turn hopefully delivering one of the strongest performances from any recent DC film.
