Will Avengers: Infinity War Kill Off All The Phase One Superheroes?
3. Hawkeye

Another Phase One secondary character, introduced in Thor, Hawkeye was initially given little to do but after Age of Ultron was revealed to be a devoted family man and the beating heart of the Avengers.
The notable absence of Hawkeye in the Infinity War trailer and poster suggests that while he may not feature prominently in the upcoming movie, he may echo Luke Skywalker’s absence in The Force Awakens and end up playing a major role in the sequel instead. While his job in Avengers 4 may be to pick up the pieces after Thanos gains most of the Infinity Stones and kills many along the way, this suggests that he will survive his colleagues and play a vital part in ultimately defeating Thanos.
Also a popular theory doing the rounds is that Hawkeye’s family, who he repeatedly attempts to keep out of harm’s way, will be killed and act as something for him to actually avenge. Marvel would have to be pretty cruel to murder both Hawkeye and his family, more than likely just leaving him a broken man by the end of Avengers 4 but still alive.
