Wonder Woman: 21 New Details & Secrets Just Revealed

19. Warner Bros Don't Insist On One Tone

Despite all of the talk that Warner Bros seem to be insisting on the DCEU being a more sombre - some might say more ADULT - alternative to the MCU with a grimmer, grittier tone, Patty Jenkins says there is nothing from on-high that says the universe's director have to adhere to one tone:

“From my point of view, there is no mandate on tone that I experienced. So I think every filmmaker is making their own movies in the tone that they see right for that movie and I had no pressure on me to not do the same. […] I don’t think there is one tone. Chris Nolan had a serious tone and Zack [Snyder] has a different tone that’s also serious in a different way, so I think it became a perception there was one tone, but that’s not what I’ve heard encouraged.”

Take that Marvel fanboys.

This absolutely is a good thing: even in the MCU and within the Star Wars franchise there are wildly different tones, and there's no reason different visions cannot mesh together.

18. It Wasn't Shot In IMAX

Despite the trend in other comic book movies - predominantly the MCU - Wonder Woman was not shot in IMAX, but rather in 35mm.

Judging by the trailers, there's no need to be concerned about it not looking absolutely stunning.
