Wonder Woman Movie: 10 Signs It Might Actually Be Good

6. It Will Completely Change The Usual Superhero Movie Dynamic

While some superhero movies do have strong female characters (Captain America: The First Avenger's Peggy Carter is a perfect example), the majority are simply damsels in distress. Wonder Woman will turn that dynamic on its head by putting Steve Trevor in that role. He's not going to be some sort of bumbling sidekick, but will obviously rely on the Amazonian to save him if they end up facing some sort of superpowered threat. It will also be refreshing to see a man pining over a woman rather than the other way around, and if the comics are any indication, there's nothing to say Diana will even be interested in him at first! Having the male lead serve as a love interest will be something new and original for the superhero movie genre, and it's necessary in order to ensure that Wonder Woman comes across in the movie as the strong and independent warrior that fans love her for being.
