Now, this is interesting. We briefly see Diana peering longingly at the iconic 1918 photograph of herself, Steve Trevor and others first seen in Batman v Superman, which going by the Wayne Enterprises header on the note to the left of her hand, was probably send to her by 'ol Bats himself.

This not only reinforces Diana's sentimental attachment to the image (considering that everyone but her in it will be long-dead), but suggests that Bruce could very well be the present-day framing device for Diana to tell her unbelievable story.

Don't be surprised if the big punchline right at the end of the movie is a cameo from Bruce, his jaw dropped at having been told this amazing tale.
