20 Recent Movies EVERYONE Knew Would Suck
10. Five Nights at Freddy's 2
Once again, if the first film in a series isn't up to much, it's likely that the sequel will follow suit, especially if the original was a stonking commercial success regardless, as was certainly the case with Blumhouse's adaptation of hit horror game Five Nights at Freddy's.
Though Five Nights at Freddy's 2 boasted a bigger budget and promised even more fan service, that did little to calm those who found the first film a borderline nonsensical mish-mash of half-baked ideas, leaden subplots, and tepid "scares."
And almost impressively, this sequel is markedly worse than its predecessor, making even less sense, giving its cast even less to do, and failing to rouse even a single genuine beat of terror.
Outside of some solid animatronic crafts work, this was exactly the more-of-the-same sequel most surely expected, and in fairness, that's exactly what its feverishly devoted fanbase wanted, per its massive box office haul of $239.6 million.
