You Need To Stop Saying Jason Todd Is Suicide Squad's Joker

He's really, really not.

JOKER ROBIN NOPE

It's time to retire the Jason Todd Joker theory officially. So says Suicide Squad director David Ayer.

With the film about to hit cinemas in just under two weeks, the director has spoken out as part of some WSVN-TV interviews with the cast and crew. And he says there's no way the new Joker was ever Jason Todd, no matter how much fans cling to the idea.

Despite the "how many good guys are left, how many stayed that way" line in Batman v Superman that was suggested as a big part of the fuel for the rumour, it seems Todd didn't go mad after an attack from the real Joker. And he is actually dead, probably. And not just Jon Snow dead either. Maybe.

There's still a possibility that we'll eventually get to see Todd as Red Hood in the future, but he's certainly not the Joker. The alternative would be better anyway, as it would give fans one of the more iconic Batman stories that hasn't yet been adapted to the screen. It's about time it was.

Ayer emphatically kills the rumour at the 03:25 mark in this video...
