10 Absurdly Hard DLC Modes You Never Beat
9. No Return - The Last Of Us Part II
For the most part, The Last of Us Part II’s new No Return is what you make of it. Most of it can be played in whatever difficulty you desire so, even with the randomness that inherently comes with roguelikes, you can feel at least prepared and capable to some degree.
However, if you want to complete No Return in its entirety it means achieving the highly sought after May You Death Be Swift achievement which is no small feat.
No Return features a Daily Run mode which is a guaranteed seed shared by all players so that everyone can play the same map against the same foes, and compare their results. You get just the one shot at a Daily Run so you best make it count - especially since you need to beat one on the notorious Grounded difficulty at least once.
There’s only so much preparation you can do going into this challenge as the Daily Run is fresh every time and one slip-up on the painfully realistic difficulty setting can ruin a run before you've even got your bearings. And once you’ve made the mistake and suffered for it, you’re done until tomorrow… and by then you’re back to square one with a new seed.
This post-apocalyptic nightmare world sure is cruel.
