10 Achievements Awarded For Doing The Impossible

Quake, similar to Tom Clancy’s Ghost Reckon, features an achievement for becoming the number one player in the world on its All Gametypes leaderboard.

Just as is the case with the previous world champion achievement, this one is basically impossible to get, but what makes Quake’s version a little bit more interesting is that this hasn’t stopped its players from coming up with strategies on how to obtain it.

Several forums and Reddit posts regarding Quake’s multiplayer have actually devised tactics for how to climb the top of the leaderboard and become “Number One.”

From setting up elaborate score point farms to having your friends sabotage their own scoring to boost your own, Quake’s fans are unrelenting and determined even in the face of a once-in-a-lifetime achievement such as this.

Unfortunately, all of these strategies still won’t guarantee you’ll get the achievement, as you’re probably not the only person using these methods, and even after you’ve used them to climb to the top ten, you still have to take out the remaining nine contenders.

You have to appreciate peoples' dedication, though. If only to ensure that the hours they poured into farming points have not gone to complete waste.
