Elder Scrolls Online's war for the Cyrodiilic throne is possibly one of the most chaotic, overpopulated, and time-consuming competitive modes you can experience in an MMORPG. It's a huge server-wide clash between the three warring factions in the game that involves hundreds of players at a time.

The chance of your faction of choice becoming the dominant force in the region is a matter of collective effort, time investment, and tons and tons of luck. However, if this already doesn't sound hard enough, ESO features a special achievement for accomplishing this AND being crowned Cyrodiil's new Emperor for being the best of the best.

Simply called "Emperor!" the achievement is obtained once your faction takes all provinces of Cyrodiil from the other factions and then holds them long enough to elect an Emperor from among its soldiers.

Since there can be only one Emperor, and it's always the highest-ranking player of the victorious faction, the chance of you becoming one is astronomically low.

After all, it might take dozens of hours before you'll even see the war in Cyrodiil come to an end. And it will usually be on the losing side of the conflict.
