Jigsaw may not be the most iconic character on this list, but when you think of the Saw movie franchise's success in comparison to the tie-in games, it's certainly worth a look.

Tobin Bell portrayed John Kramer, a serial killer known as "Jigsaw". His general modus operandi is to test his victims' will to live using elaborate traps and scenarios designed to torture them both physically and mentally.

He's an unpleasant character, although he's still relatively compelling. His story runs through the Saw movies as he fights against a terminal illness, all the while kidnapping and subjecting people to various convoluted horrors.

While they may not be for everyone, the Saw movies were undoubtedly a success. Naturally, this warranted multiple video game tie-ins.

Bell reprised the role of Jigsaw in both Saw: The Video Game and Saw II: Flesh and Blood, giving players the opportunity to dive even deeper in Jigaw's twisted games.

While the first of these games achieved mixed reviews, the second failed to impress, and thankfully, they stopped making the misguided horror movie tie-in series.

Still, without Bell's distinct voice, it's hard to imagine Jigsaw commanding quite the same presence, so without the actor's involvement, the games probably would have been even worse.
