Nye Bevan is a saint and our NHS is the Yorkshire pudding in the roast dinner that is the UK.

However, I’m pretty bloody disabled (brittle bone disease, I’m like a reverse Wolverine with breadsticks for bones), and when working for a large AAA company, you get the absolute zenith of private health care. I’m talking, teams of dedicated doctors in the room talking about how to best treat you... and none of them are worried about going over the government-mandated maximum six minute consultation time.

Though we in this country are unbelievably lucky to have the national health service, it’s nice to know that, as part of a AAA games company, they want you to be in prime condition for game creation, and that means the absolute best care money can buy.

I actually think last time I was in the private hospital, someone actually offered to replace my heart with a fusion reactor.

I mean, it was the psychiatric department, but still. What service.
