2. This Guy Are A Spoiler (Final Fantasy VII)

Early on in Final Fantasy VII, whilst escorting brand-new belle Aeris home to her oddly verdant slumside cottage, Cloud Strife stumbles upon an ill chap living in a disused jet engine. Lost amidst the hilarity of the brilliantly bad "This guy are sick" mistranslation is the deeper significance of this scene - specifically, that the guy has a strange 'Number 2' tattoo.

Despite all her knowledge of the Ancients, Aeris can't explain the mysterious marking, and the pair - and the player - promptly forget about it. It's revealed much, much later that the citizens of Nibelheim were experimented on by Shinra's own Dr. Mengele, Hojo, who injected them with Jenova cells and marked them with a number. This poor lad in the pipe? He was one of them.
