10 Amazing Video Game Characters That Were Killed Off Way Too Quickly

1. Alfira - Baldur's Gate III

Your team in Baldur's Gate 3 misses two very apparent members of every average DnD party: a short guy with a giant axe, and a bard.

Now, out of the two, the lack of a bard is the more frequently voiced complaint within the game's community, and that's because Larian has severely underused the perfect candidate for the role—Alfira.

Alfira is the tiefling bard that hides in the Druids' Grove with her fellow Avernus refugees in Act 1. The girl can teach you how to play instruments if you don't know how, and if you play as the Dark Urge... she will be one of the most gruesome victims of your murderous cravings.

Alfira's murder happens only a night after you agree to let her join your adventuring party. Her death is meant to be a shocking moment that reveals your character's unpredictable nature, but, in reality, it mostly makes people mad that they got cheated out of a genuinely promising companion.

The recent update actually made Alfira a playable party member after she joined you, but the girl is still killed off shortly after, so really, there's still a big Alfira-shaped hole in the roster of your in-game companions.
