10 Amazing Western Movie Homages In Red Dead Redemption 2
6. Strawberry Pays Homage To McCabe And Mrs Miller
Each town in Red Dead Redemption 2 perfectly represents where you are in the game's world and the people that live there. The rugged exterior of Valentine will convince you of a real livestock town just as the stone paved streets of Saint Denis portray a town benefiting from technological progress.
And if you venture out towards the mountains of West Elizabeth, you will find the small isolated town of Strawberry, which is the perfect hub for the hard working people of the local logging companies and the hunters of Big Valley.
It’s clear that Rockstar wanted to create a town that looked like it belonged in the hills and was home to a tightly knit community, so it is no surprise after wandering around Strawberry that fans can spot some similarities to the town in McCabe and Mrs Miller, Presbyterian Church.
Both towns feature a number of wooden shacks and winding roads built around the mountainous terrain, complete with bridges to help navigate the choppy river running through the town centre. Although the two towns differ here and there, there is no denying Rockstar used Strawberry as a way to pay respect to McCabe and Mrs Miller.
