10 Animal Crossing: New Horizons Updates We NEED To See

8. Multiplayer Decorating

Animal Crossing The Roost

Players who have invited their friends over to their island may be disappointed to find out that there's no way to collaborate in terms of decorating. This has been the case for all Animal Crossing games. However with the advancements made with the Nintendo Switch, players have come to expect more advanced features.

It is a worry that people could visit and steal items or ruin the look of your island, flower trampling is annoying on its own. But having an option that's easily toggled on or off would circumnavigate this issue. Players will have friends that they trust to help design their areas and to not run away with their rare/expensive furniture.

Animal Crossing is a social platform with a heavy focus on customisation and decoration. Because of this, it's rather bewildering as to why the likes of a community building area or a way to decorate/design with friends is absent. Especially since Nintendo has joined the bandwagon of charging for an online subscription. So far this has had very few redeeming features to make up for the price tag. Surely Nintendo exclusive games are the main place that people paying this fee will look for worthwhile additions?
