10 Announcements We Want To Hear At Gamescom

5. Quantic Dream Reveals Singularity

Project Kara Last year, Quantic Dream reserved the domain name www.singularityps4.com, causing many to speculate quite reasonably that Singularity will be the name of their new PS4-exclusive IP. QD's online job listings have in recent months referenced online multiplayer, and the expectation is that the game may borrow from the aesthetic of their tremendously well-received Kara demonstration. However, as with all of Quantic Dream's demos, it doesn't necessarily mean that it will translate directly into a game, as remains presently ambiguous with their impressive Dark Sorcerer trailer, which was shown off at E3 this year. The only point of peculiarity is that it would surely overshadow the release of their impending game Beyond: Two Souls, which is due for release in around two months, and likely needs all the publicity it can get. It would make sense to hold Singularity for the Tokyo Game Show in late September, or more likely, next year's E3.
