Camping is a trick as old as FPS games themselves, the tactic of finding a nice little hidden spot that grants you access to a healthy fleet of enemies, and unloading on them while they can barely figure out what's going on due to your own hidden position. It's one of the dirtiest tricks in the FPS genre, and one of the most philosophically futile given that if everybody camped, there would be absolutely no reason to play the game at all, because there would be no combat. It can be incredibly annoying if you're trying to learn the new maps (especially if you don't buy these games on launch), as everyone else has already figured out the best camping spots, and will frequently catch you unawares with a hail of machine gun fire. Then there's the more challenging feat of spawn-camping, where enemy players camp at your spawn point and keep killing you and your team-mates ad nauseum. More recent FPS games have tried to combat this with dynamic respawns, but it's still not quite where it needs to be. Still, at least killcams do cut down on the annoyance factor a little.
