10 Anticipated Video Games FINALLY Releasing In 2022

The Batman Arkham tetralogy is one of the most celebrated gaming franchises ever. Even though Arkham Knight served as the climax of the saga, fans were desperate for another role-playing game set in Gotham.

So, when WB Games Montreal announced a new Batman-based game, Gotham Knights, fans were thrilled. The story is separate to the Arkham series but the game will maintain the same structure.

Instead of just rolling out another Batman game, the developers went in a totally different direction. With Gotham's greatest superhero biting the dust in the introduction, the player will take control of Bruce Wayne's sidekicks, Nightwing, Red Hood, Batgirl, and Robin. Not only was this a bold decision, getting to play as four characters with drastically different moves and fighting techniques allows the gameplay to be more diverse.

Instead of having the heroes battling the Joker for the millionth time, the game's antagonist will be The Court of Owls - Gotham's version of the Illuminati. Although The Court are among the best comics supervillains in years, they haven't appeared much outside of comics. But with Gotham Knights, these villains (and heroes), will get the chance to get a spot in the limelight.
