10 Awesome 2021 Video Games You Missed (So Far)
1. Adios
If you're looking for a fantastic game you can pretty much beat during your lunch break, look no further than Adios, an hour-long narrative adventure casting the player in the role of a pig farmer who has grown tired of using his pigs to help the mob dispose of bodies, and wants out of that life.
The game is focused almost entirely on the protagonist attempting to convince his mob hitman pal that he's done, no matter the life-threatening implications this may have.
It is perhaps less a game than a story-driven "experience," but one that proves thoroughly immersive and atmospheric as a result of its tightly-wound script and superb voice acting.
Though not offering much in terms of traditional gameplay - it's better thought of as a visual novel/walking sim hybrid, really - Adios soars on the strength of its well-drawn characters and compelling central scenario.
All in all, it tells a more engaging and memorable story in just 60 minutes than most games achieve in 20 hours.
