10 Awesome Cancelled Video Games We Still Want To Play

2. Reich

img_174842_reich_3Why We Want To Play It:Much was not known about the FPS being developed by Ignition Florida, and much still isn€™t known about it; but if you want to speculate a games awesomeness solely on hype and one gameplay video, Reich is it. The story was set in a futuristic universe where Hitler and the Third Reich reigned supreme. Y ou played as a former soldier hell bent on righting your wrongdoings for a better cause. Footage of this mysterious game popped up on YouTube during the later months of 2010 and dazzled with frantic gunplay and powerful telekinetic abilities. The real-time physics featured in the game looked fantastic; and multiplayer was going to be included. Why We Never Will:$20 million dollars had been put into Reich before it was cancelled. The late Paul Steed, who worked on classics like Doom and Quake, was accused of mismanaging funds and sexual harassment while running the studio. On top of that, the studio had only completed two of the nine main levels of the game while spending all that money. Ignition Florida€™s studio was closed down, 70 employees lost their jobs, and Reich was canned. Due to the amount of work that still needed to be done on the game, outsourcing the remaining development seemed to be a daunting task.
