10 Awesome Games You Definitely Missed In 2024

One of the most audacious debuts from a new studio in years, 1000xResist is a staggering testament to what brilliant creatives can come up with under sure budgetary constraints.

For while this sci-fi adventure game isn't the handsomest title on the market, the depth of its writing blows away just about every AAA game released this year.

Taking place 1000 years in the future after a disease has ravaged humanity, 1000xResist is a beguiling fusion of quasi-visual novel and exploration game, as players come to realise their reality isn't quite what they expected.

The less said about the story's twists and turns the better, but this is a deep, rich meditation on identity that offers up one of the most unique sci-fi stories of the last decade in any medium.

Despite receiving near-universal acclaim from critics and players alike, however, 1000xResist only sold 25,000 copies within four months of its release, and seems unlikely to get much attention in the impending Game of the Year conversations.
