10 Awesome Hidden Video Game Modes You Totally Missed
4. Multiplayer Mode - Duck Hunt
This might come as a surprise to many, but the original Duck Hunt for the NES includes a secret multiplayer mode that allows another player to control ducks while you try to shoot them.
The reason why this mode hasn't been widely known is because it is only mentioned in Duck Hunt's manual and you can only access it in the one duck mode, which, let's be honest, isn't really that fun if you're playing against the AI.
However, when it's another human being that takes the duck's proverbial reins, one duck mode is like a completely different game. It becomes a huge competition between one player trying to aim their plastic gun at the screen and the other annoying the duck out of them.
It's definitely worth trying out, but if you play as the duck, don't push your friend too much, or it won't be just the laughing dog that they'll secretly want to shoot.
