10 Awesome Things Sleeping Dogs Does Better Than GTA V

1. Hand-To-Hand Combat

Fist-fights in GTA IV were broken, no two ways about it. V improved them, but only to the level of being passable. Gunplay is the primary mode of combat in GTA V I understand that, but is it really so hard to implement a decent hand-to-hand combat system? You had a limited set of punches, kicks and combos that made melees more of an irritating chore than anything. Sleeping Dogs on the other hand has received high praise for its focus on hand-to-hand combat. Guns are available too but you're having the most fun when you're in a street fight. Imagine the free flow combat system from the Batman: Arkham games and replace the moves with traditional martial arts techniques and that's Sleeping Dogs' fighting mechanic. The more your character upgrades, the more moves you'll learn. The countering is smooth and brutal, allowing you to take on groups of 20 successfully, and making you feel like the toughest guy on the planet. Well, there you have it, the flaws in Sleeping Dogs hold it back from being superior to GTA V, but it still did some things better. Do you agree or disagree with any of my choices?
