We've all spent forever wanting this weapon. Ever since we first saw it in Phantom Menace, we've known its incredible power. And that's why Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy was so hesitant to finally grant the player the key to becoming a whirlwind of death: the Double-Bladed Lightsaber.

At least, that's what we all thought, anyway. As it turns out, the Double-Bladed Lightsaber, while doing some of what it says on the tin, comes with some pretty heavy downsides.

Firstly, you can't use a blaster while wielding a lightsaber in both hands, but weirder is that this lightsaber gives you a hidden move... that does next to nothing at all. The weapon's alternate attack, if pressed while moving, let you launch a kick at your opponents - something that sounds very Darth Maul - but it looks awkwardly stuff, does almost no damage.

While the Double-Bladed lightsaber is still good at what it does, the kick mechanic would have made it a lot more special if it actually synergised with the lightsaber's combat style in any way.
