5. White Knuckles: Big Robot Remix - Rock Band Series
During the lifetime of Harmonix's Rock Band Network (RBN), the extensive online service was a nexus for artists and musicians to share their material for the purpose of making it fully playable within the Rock Band game series.
The original version of the network was host to a remix competition, in which fans competed to create a winning remix of Ok Go's 2010 single, 'White Knuckles.' The winner, a user by the name of The Big Robot, was rewarded by their successful project being made available for download on RBN.
Creatively titled 'White Knuckles - The Big Robot Remix', the song is an uptempo, fully electronic reinterpretation of Ok Go's more chilled-out funk-rock original.
Fans took to it immediately, and until the RBN was shut down in 2017, the remix remained on the enormous list of available tracks for everyone to bop and shred their way through as much as they desired.
