4. Skip To The Final Boss - Mega Man VII
After defeating the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man VII, the Astro Boy-inspired android, Rock will enter Dr. Wily's fortress which is split into four parts. Not only is each of these sections challenging, it concludes with possibly the hardest final boss in the original franchise. Even if Rock is armed with every upgrade, coming out on top against the maniacal scientist is unlikely.
But it gets worse. If the player loses and wants to try again, they have to punch in a password. Annoyingly, the password has Rock start from the beginning of the fortress. Although this is standard in Capcom's platforming series, it seems unfair with Mega Man VII, due to the punishing difficulty.
Luckily, there is a way to face Wily straightaway. By inserting a specific code, the Blue Bomber will bypass the entire dungeon, save for the last section.
Unfortunately, the only way to access this code is by defeating Wily. However, why would anyone want the code to beat the game if they've already beat the game!?
Obviously, this password is freely available nowadays, thanks to the Internet. But that wasn't the case when Mega Man VII launched, since this code was only available after it wasn't needed.
