The Trailer

The cinematic trailer for Force Unleashed 2 actually does manage to capture the tone and story of the game. The trailer features Starkiller walking down a hallway, as voices from the previous game play in his mind. The more they play, the more angry and anxious Starkiller becomes, causing his force powers to run amok, tearing the hallways to shreds. Finally, the voice of Juno Eclipse slices through all the myriad voices, calming him enough to rein in his powers. Roll title and release date, and boom, ya got yourself a winner.

The Game

While the trailer was good at conveying the overall mood and story of the game, it of course failed to warn audiences that Force Unleashed 2 would be a failure to recreate God Of War (ya know, instead of a failure to recreate Devil May Cry like the first one was), with forgettable linear hallway levels and writing that just flat out couldn't compare to the original.

And mind you, the original was okay at best so that's a problem.
