10 Awesome Video Game Villains That Died Too Early

1. Kronya - Fire Emblem: Three Houses

Considering how much of the marketing for Fire Emblem: Three Houses focused on the character of Kronya, it was massively disappointing how utterly piecemeal her role in the game ultimately was.

In the game's ninth chapter, she brutally murders the protagonist's father Jeralt while disguised as Monica, seeming to establish Kronya as one of the game's major villains.

But in the very next chapter, she's defeated in a boss fight, after which Kronya has her heart ripped out by cultist Solon. And that's all she wrote - she was ultimately just a side-attraction to the main story.

Given that Kronya was built up as a sexy sadist who the player would relish defeating later in the game, it was simply baffling that she was offed less than half-way through the game's story, totally undermining the potential catharsis of killing her in the process.
