10 Awesome Video Game Villains That Died Too Early

10. Jul 'Mdama - Halo 5: Guardians

Supreme Commander Jul 'Mdama was an Elite enemy who presided over a splinter Covenant faction, and was first introduced to fans in the Halo novel Halo: Glasslands, before making his in-game debut in Halo 4's episodic Spartan Ops campaign.

His brief appearances were effective in depicting him as an extremely dangerous strategist, so when he showed up at the start of Halo 5: Guardians, it seemed like he'd have a substantial antagonistic role.

But as it turned out, 'Mdama was rather effortlessly dispatched by protagonist Locke in the first 20 minutes of the game's campaign, in a freaking cutscene no less.

Considering how he died, you'd assume he was any other disposable mook, despite the wider lore suggesting there was a far more compelling story to be told. In the very least, he should've died in an epic boss battle.
