10 Awesome Video Game Villains Who Deserve Their Own Title

5. Jecht - Final Fantasy X

Jecht is a cool dude. He may be a bit on the surfer-guy side like his squeaking, intolerable son Tidus, but he's gruffer, tougher, and meaner - which already makes him much more appealing as a hero. He's also one of the greatest blitzball players to have ever existed, and although he's prone to drinking too much and being bullish towards his son (who wouldn't be towards a kid like Tidus?), this is the direct result of the tragic death of his wife. Of course, Jecht is far more than a blitzball player, so it wouldn't quite do him justice to just star him in a Final Fantasy spin-off sports game called "Jecht's Blitzball Evolution Tourney 3000". Instead, a game revolving around him should follow his realisation about the existence of Dream Zanarkand, his subsequent arrest for raving about it like a drunken loon, then his quest to defeat Sin with the motley crew of Yuna, Al Bhed and Auron. It'd give fans a chance to see more of Jecht's softer side, and his desire to be a good father to his son, despite being seemingly incapable of it. Perhaps most importantly, it'd give us the opportunity to use that awesome black sword that he tantalisingly carries around with him.
