In the world of Elder Scrolls, Sithis is one of the most important players behind the lore that makes the series so deep.

Also known as 'The Dread Father', he is the representative of emptiness and the Void and is worshipped by cults like The Dark Brotherhood. His presence also has a huge influence on various species' culture in the game's universe, making him a pretty big deal working solely in the shadows.

The Dark Brotherhood questline in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is one of the best side storylines in RPG history, with the game capturing the influence Sithis wields on the cult better than any other in the series.

From Lucien Lachance's description of Sithis being like 'a perfect, cloudless midnight, cold as winter ice and shrouded in shadow', to the chilling tale of the Night Mother and children with the deity all play a huge role in determining the tone of the story.

The engravings of Sithis and his different representations, and the shrine to Sithis in Deepscorn Hollow remain the closest sights players have ever had of the Dread Father, but do enough to remind players of the might he wields.
