10 Awesome Video Games You've Missed In 2020 (So Far)
5. SnowRunner
In our difficult and unpredictable present, you couldn't be blamed for wanting to steer clear of bleak, violent games like The Last of Us Part II - as fantastic as it is - in favour of something a little more relaxing.
Basically the vehicular equivalent of Death Stranding, SnowRunner tasks players with making truck deliveries across treacherous terrain, and much like Kojima's barmy game it transforms the mere act of traversal into a puzzle in of itself.
Even for many who would otherwise dismiss trucking sims as boring nonsense, there's a hypnotic, meditative appeal to SnowRunner's slow pace and deceptive-yet-never-punshing level of challenge.
This is the perfect game to play after a tough day at work while cracking open a cold one and listening to a podcast - it's undemanding yet satisfyingly responsive and visually remarkable to boot.
Even if you're convinced this genre isn't for you, SnowRunner just might be the exception.
